Over 1,500 youth each year living on the street or "couch-hopping call out to Daybreak for help. Some of them just have questions and are looking for referrals, some need counseling, some need food, some need shelter, and some need everything listed. If the youth is 18 years old or younger and has no place to go, they are immediately referred to our emergency shelter. But older youth, unfortunately, can't stay in the shelter, so our staff work with them to get them into our housing program or another safe alternative. In the interim, these youth are welcome to use Daybreak services such as food, clothing, counseling, bus passes, restroom/laundry facility, and our weekly health clinic (staffed by a nurse practitioner from Samaritan Homeless Clinic).
If you are need of Daybreak services, please attend an orientation at Daybreak (605 S. Patterson Boulevard)
