We Serve
The young people and families in the Miami Valley who utilize Daybreak’s services are all different.
They come from urban, suburban, and rural areas. They represent different ethnic and racial groups.
They come from poor, middle class, and wealthy families. They are boys and girls and range in age from
10 to 21. Unfortunately, despite these differences, the youth we serve do have a number of things in common.
- 80% report significant problems with parents
- 57% report problems in school
- 46% report emotional abuse and/or neglect
- 39% report physical abuse/assault
- 25% report being out of school
