A laundry basket full of household essentials is given to each Daybreak youth moving into their first aparment. Items needed for these Housewarming Gift Baskets are listed below:

Volunteer Opportunities
Daybreak is seeking volunteers for the following positions:
- Residential Aides will engage our residents in positive activities.
- Child Care Aides will provide nurturing care to the babies and toddlers in our facility while their
parents attend on-site therapeutic activities.
- Front Desk Aides will work at the front desk greeting and directing guests and doing light clerical work.
In addition, Daybreak will occasionally need volunteers to complete one-time specific projects such as painting
and yard work.
Volunteer Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Attend a one-hour volunteer orientation, which will provide an overview of Daybreak,
an introduction to volunteer job descriptions, and an opportunity to ask questions
- Complete a volunteer application
- Personal interview with Daybreak's Training/Volunteer Specialist
- Background check, including fingerprinting
- Six-month commitment
Additional Requirements for Residential and Child Care Aides
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must complete required training sessions

Volunteer Orientation will be held in Daybreak's new building at 605 S. Patterson Boulevard in downtown Dayton.
