On July 11, 2014 the National Transitional Jobs Network (NTJN) highlighted Daybreak in its blog, recognizing that Daybreak's been leading the way in the fight to end youth homelessness for over forty years.

In 2013 the Ohio Capital Impact Corporation, through its Carol Mount Peterson Resident Development Fund, awarded Daybreak $30,000 to provide wages for youth participating in an employment program. Lindy & Company, the employment program created by Daybreak, is a gourmet pet treat bakery where formerly homeless youth learn valuable work skills so they never have to be homeless again
